Electronic Arts is shutting down BioWare. After 31 years of making games, their story has come to an end. BioWare developed such games as MDK2, Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
The studio was founded in 1995 by newly graduated medical doctors Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuk and Augustine Yip.
The company was acquired by EA in 2007, and produced multiple hits in the Mass Effect and Dragon Age franchises.
BioWare has officially announced that its next Mass Effect title, which was in early development, has been canceled.
